Waiting For Sunday's distinct musical acumen brings together the most compelling elements of rock, blues, and folk to create music that is at once both refreshingly broad and engaging. Waiting For Sunday was founded by long-time friends Dan Hudson (Guitar/Vocals) and Matt Gauld (Lead Guitar). Hudson's musical leanings tended towards folk and singer-songwriter influences, while Gauld was heavily influenced by the blues. With the addition of Mircea Tracke (Bass) and producer Colin Everall, the band recorded their debut independent album “The Courage, The Strength, The Wisdom And Doubt”. Tracke had an upbringing in jazz music, while Everall had a background in classical piano and industrial/hard rock music (as a member of the Calgary-based Post Death Soundtrack). Everall joined the band as drummer following the album’s completion. With all the necessary elements in place, each member brought with them their individual styles to define the unique sound that is Waiting For Sunday. Waiting For Sunday recently released their first official music video (which was produced and directed by band member Colin Everall), toured western Canada in support of “The Courage, The Strength, The Wisdom And Doubt,” and are currently in the studio recording their next full-length album.
